Tickle Lipo FAQ

Tickle Lipo is a gentle, minimally invasive cosmetic surgery to remove stubborn, unwanted body fat.  It is a 2-3 hour, out-patient procedure that requires no general anesthesia.
Tickle Lipo is also known as N.I.L. (Nutational Infrasonic Liposculpture).  N.I.L. quickly became known as ‘Tickle Lipo” because of the tickling sensation some patients experience during the procedure caused by the low frequency infrasonic vibration used when removing fat.
Tickle Liposuction device liquefies and quickly removes your fat cells without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Rather than using heat or ultrasound to extract the unwanted fat, Tickle Lipo uses infrasonic energy which ensures that the healthy tissue remains for better skin retraction. With Tickle Lipo, no general anesthesia is needed, making for a much safer out-patient procedure. Tickle Lipo contributes to greater contouring abilities, smoother results, reduced swelling and less bruising. It is 25% faster than other traditional liposuction procedures.
All procedures are performed in our state of the art facility located in Edwards, Colorado. There is no need for hospitalization or general anesthesia.
It’s due to the 10Hz frequency of the infrasonic vibration. This unique vibration disrupts the sensation of painful stimuli by activating the nerves that block the transmission of pain signals. While these non-nociceptive fibers refrain from sending pain signals to your brain, you will feel much more at ease and experience more of a tickle sensation. We also provide the patient with oral pain medication at the time of the procedure in order to ensure the patient is relaxed and comfortable, while administering the tumescent anesthetic.
Tickle Lipo results will be noticed immediately after your treatment and will continue to improve after initial swelling subsides.  You will continue to see improvements for up to six months, provided you sustain a well-balanced diet and maintain regular physical activities.
Recuperation time will vary depending on the area and volume of liposuction performed. Typically, patients can return to their normal routines in 1 – 2 weeks. You will be sore after liposuction. This is normal and will subside within the first week. Light swelling is common. You are encouraged to move around, walk and assume regular daily activities the next day to help your body rid the local anesthesia and assist in your body’s natural healing process. You will be required to wear a compression garment between 8-12 weeks (location and age depending). These garments help re-seat the skin to help achieve optimal clinical results.
Tickle Lipo is generally less expensive than other traditional liposuction procedures, and pricing depends upon the volume to be extracted and the number of areas to be treated.  A consultation is required to finalize price.
